The Betharram Caves are a natural site suitable for discovering and understanding the underground world, as well as for studying the history of our planet and its evolution over time.

A fun opportunity

to learn geology

These caves offer students a unique opportunity to explore a complex network of underground formations in a fun way and to trace the geological history of our Earth, a 125 million-year-old history.

Exploring these caves will give students a better understanding of the region geology. The study of rock formations, stalactites and stalagmites in the caves offers clues to the geological and hydrological processes that have shaped this region over thousands of years.

An educational booklet in French certified in accordance with French national education programs will be offered to the teacher for each visit. This booklet is also available for students.
